Yiasou Greek Festival is HERE!
If you’ve lived in Charlotte for even a short amount of time, I have no doubt you’ve heard about one of Dilworth’s most beloved and much awaited festivals — the Yiasou Greek Festival! Every year at this very time, droves of people swarm Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral on East Boulevard for authentic Greek cuisine and entertainment for the entire family (beware of traffic!). Whether you’re looking for a last minute date night, or want to gather up the kids and walk over you are sure to find something for everyone:
Spanakopita
Gyros
Greek pizza
Souvlaki
Baklava (and baklava sundaes)
And much more!
You can get these items at a full sit down meal, through a drive through or even if you’d rather pick and choose a few a la carte items as you stroll from tent to tent — you have options!
Once you’ve dined, be sure to check out the wine tastings, folk dancing, live music, shopping, exhibits, live reenactments and a play land for the kiddos!
Festival admission is $3, children 12 or under are admitted free, accompanied by a parent or guardian.
From September 6th-9th hours are Friday-Saturday 11am-10pm and Sunday 12pm-8pm.
